REGION – What happens when one of OnsWestfriesland’s editors is also a triathlete? A lot of valuable information for participants, of course. Out of nearly 3,000 athletes, 2,400 are taking part in the IRONMAN 70.3 – the half triathlon. Of all participants, 55% come from abroad, with large groups from Belgium, Germany, and the United Kingdom, but also from North and South America and Asia. That’s why our editorial team has translated several articles into English.
For many participants, the region is unfamiliar. To welcome them and support their preparation, our editors have recorded the entire bike course on video. These videos can be watched below. There’s also a short video to help participants prepare for the swim start, transition zone, and finish. On behalf of the OnsWestfriesland.nl editorial team, we wish all participants and spectators a pleasant stay in Westfriesland and a great race day.
Check out our article in English at ons.wf.ironman25EN with all information including schedule, course maps, and links to our 6,000+ race photos.
